The Ozarks aren’t necessarily mountains, they are mainly plateaus. The Ozarks have a lot of wildlife, mysterious weather and a lot of beautiful mountains. Since the Ozarks are up north they are considered the driest yet coolest region of the state. They get the most snow, but the least rain making which makes them the driest yet coolest region. The Ozarks have some mountains that are just wow, like the Boston Mountains. The Ozark Mountains consist of more than just hiking, you can rent out a cabin, fish, go biking, canoeing, golfing, water-ski, go on a zip line or just get a nice drive through the mountains. The Ozarks have a lot of different wildlife, from Bears to snakes, from eagles to owls, even white-tailed deer and box turtles.
The Boston Plateau is the highest of the Ozark Mountains, standing at 2,600 feet. The Boston Mountains have a lot of well-known rivers like the Buffalo, King’s, Mulberry, White, Big Piney, and Little Red Rivers. It has oak, hickory, maple and pine trees.
